Rotate and flip images
Fix a batch of sideways photos in one pass, or mirror an image. Quarter-turn rotations are lossless in geometry — nothing is resampled.
How to rotate and flip images
- Add the images that are the wrong way up.
- Choose the rotation. 90° right fixes a photo whose top is on the left; 90° left fixes the opposite.
- Tick a mirror option if you need the image flipped — useful for scanned negatives and for selfies that came out reversed.
- Press Apply.
Why this one is different
Almost every free file tool works the same way: you upload your file to a company's server, their machine does the work, and you download the result. That means a copy of your document sat on someone else's hard drive, governed by a privacy policy you did not read.

Questions
Why does my photo look rotated on my phone but not on my computer?
Because the file contains an EXIF orientation flag rather than actually being rotated, and not every program honours it. This tool reads that flag when decoding, so what you see here is what you get — and the output is genuinely rotated, with no flag to misread.
Does rotating lose quality?
Rotating by 90, 180 or 270 degrees moves whole pixels, so the geometry is exact. Any quality change is from re-encoding a JPG; choose PNG output, or a high quality setting, to avoid it.
Can I rotate by an arbitrary angle, like 5 degrees?
Not currently. Free-angle rotation needs a decision about how to fill the corners it creates, and a straighten control to make it useful. That is planned rather than done.
What is the difference between rotate 180 and mirroring both ways?
They look similar but are not the same. A 180° rotation preserves the image; mirroring both ways produces the mirror of that. Text is the easy way to tell — it stays readable after a rotation and reverses after a mirror.
Can I fix a whole folder at once?
Yes. Every image in the batch receives the same rotation, which is exactly what you want for a set of photos taken with the camera held the same way.
